I am the manufacturer of the Hot Shot Pool Cue. It will be featured on ESPN on a billiards show in Oct. or Nov. It is a great pool cue that enables players to play that would not be able to play otherwise.

Bruce, Yes, the Hot Shot Cue is patented. My husband was a quad who designed it . It is an aluminum cue with an inner rod that holds a series of interlocking washers and buffer springs. This rod extends out of the cue about 5 inches. It can be pushed into the cue housing any degree, depending on the force of the shot desired, by pressing in with your hand or by pressing it against the floor. It is released by pressing the lever on the other end. It DOES NOT take the skill out of the game as a player needs to know what force to use and distance from the ball before releasing the lever. It enables players to play who would not be able to do so otherwise. My email address is listed if you have any further questions. There is not another cue on the market like it.
